The hummingbird flaps it’s wings at 120 beats per second my Air Collection creates stillness via movement, calmness within agility. 

Air, unseen and the most ethereal of elements, surrounds us entirely. In its intangible form, air facilitates movement, dispels stagnation and creates conditions for growth. It embodies flexibility, and adaptability, perpetually in motion, never confined. Its presence naturally uplifts. It stimulates our minds and is intertwined with our breath, manifesting in abstract thoughts, daydreams, and creativity.

Hummingbirds, native to the Americas, are renowned for their tiny size and rapid wing speed. Despite their constant motion, they embody a sense of stillness, imparting a valuable lesson. The hummingbird symbolises joy, freedom, perseverance, creativity, love.  It encourages us to live in the moment, to be open to change, and to pursue our dreams with optimism.

This little bird symbolises the ability to find beauty in the little things in life and to appreciate every moment. Remember to enjoy your surroundings and the moments that make you happy. Remember to take time for yourself. By feeding on the nectar of flowers, hummingbirds inspire us to seek the sweetness of life. They encourage us to embrace mindfulness, and cherish the enduring sweetness found in every moment.

The Air collection relays the sense of observing the small moments, taking time to see and taking the time to be patient. With this patience comes a gratitude for every second, every movement of the hummingbird signifying the power stillness. No two photographs could ever be the same, each artwork is completely unique just like the movement of the hummingbird.
