Do You Dream What I Dream? is a conceptual photography series that explores the multiplicity of human perception through the lens of manipulated colour and form. Drawing from vibrant, exotic tropical landscapes, the collection presents parallel versions of the same natural scenes — altered through hue, tone, and palette — to reflect the idea that even when we are looking at the same world, we experience it in profoundly different ways.

This body of work emerges from a central question: how does subjective perception shape our reality? The manipulated colours are not intended to distort, but rather to reveal — to illuminate the many ways in which we, as individuals, interpret and relate to our environment. The same landscape, viewed through different chromatic lenses, becomes a metaphor for the diverse perspectives that exist within any shared human experience.

Beyond its visual appeal, the collection offers a deeper commentary on empathy and connection. It challenges the assumption that understanding requires sameness. On the contrary, Do You Dream What I Dream? posits that true compassion is found not in uniformity, but in our ability to honour and respect differing perceptions.

By holding space for multiple ways of seeing, this work invites viewers to reflect on the value of perspective — not as a barrier, but as a bridge. In a world often divided by difference, these pieces act as a quiet reminder that connection can exist in the space between two visions.
